The Perfect, Indiana Series by Barbara Longley was a surprising find for me – I don’t normally read romances with military heroes, this series has opened my eyes to Military/Ex-Military done right.
Anna is done doing exactly what is expected of her. Xavier thought he was on top of the world…
This is not a book where you can judge it by it’s cover and the title. Kelly is nothing like you’d expect.
Amy Mendoza, who goes by Serena when she’s in porn star mode, is sick of being a porn star. When her friend ODs at a party, Amy garners the attention of Emmanuel from the band Avert. He needs her for something a little unusual, and he’s willing to pay her for her services.
What to say about Pretty Instinct… well I’m not sure. Don’t get me wrong, I liked the book. I liked the story. I’m not sure I liked the two main characters. Okay so I will never read this book again – I’m in the minority and this book bugged me.
Kennedy is a veteran back from Afghanistan. What she didn’t expect to see when she got home was her husband, balls deep in the nanny. Former model Paige doesn’t just want to sit there and look pretty anymore. After her husband gambled away everything they had, Paige got rid of him and got a new life. Sort of. While coming to terms with the fact that her ex-husband is gay – and getting remarried – Lorelei is doing what she can at Fool Me Once Investigations.
Natalie is a fuck-up. She’s had a rough time in life so far. Her biological parents are both dead and she is at the mercy of her snob of a step-brother. That is until her temper gets her kicked out on the street. Homeless and out of options, Natalie makes a deal that she’s not to sure she’s ready for.
Clementine did what she thought she had to do in order to protect the young man she loved. Forced to make a choice between breaking both their hearts and leaving or staying and ruining Donovan’s life – she decided to leave. Broken hearted and with nothing keeping him, Donovan joined the Marines. Though, he never forgot Clementine, and he never stopped loving her.
I started reading this not knowing what it was – not truly – I hadn’t read the blurb about the book. I read the first page and was seriously tempted to stop but I said to myself “Self (because that is how I refer to myself…) you can’t do a disservice to yourself by stopping now.
After a fourteen year hiatus, “Spiderman” is back and he’s targeting Lizzy – his only victim that escaped.
