This is not a book where you can judge it by it’s cover and the title. Kelly is nothing like you’d expect.
What to say about Pretty Instinct… well I’m not sure. Don’t get me wrong, I liked the book. I liked the story. I’m not sure I liked the two main characters. Okay so I will never read this book again – I’m in the minority and this book bugged me.
Kennedy is a veteran back from Afghanistan. What she didn’t expect to see when she got home was her husband, balls deep in the nanny. Former model Paige doesn’t just want to sit there and look pretty anymore. After her husband gambled away everything they had, Paige got rid of him and got a new life. Sort of. While coming to terms with the fact that her ex-husband is gay – and getting remarried – Lorelei is doing what she can at Fool Me Once Investigations.
I think I am being a little generous with a three star review on this one – but only because the next book has potential. Ellora’s Cave publishes erotic literature – I knew what I was getting into – sort of.
